This Field Notes 'Memo Book' inspired me to pick up a pencil and to write notes about my observations, again. (I purchased my first set on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO just before hiking up into the snowy foothills).

Aesthetically, the book looks like a hi-visibility “Antarctic Survey Orange.” That is the front cover. The back cover is “Polar Night Black”with a varnish effect featuring a topographic map of Antarctica.

The body pages feature dot-graph paper printed in light gray.

The really special feature of this notebook is the paper.

The whole book is printed on Yupo Synthetic paper, a tearproof and waterproof paper extruded from polypropylene pellets in Chesapeake, Virginia.

This little book is something to carry with you on your daily expedition (up into the hills) or wherever it is you are going. In the wild (or not in the wild). A place to keep thoughts about your observations.

ps. Don't forget your pencil. :)
