Ethical AI Alliance + The Museum of Ideas Contest to Shape Ethical AI
Shall We Reimagine? Reimagining AI: A Dignified Future (for Humans)

The Ethical AI Alliance redefines AI ethics with a human-centered approach, ensuring alignment with global human rights frameworks, prioritizing human rights and dignity with an approach that is built on three foundational pillars. First, establish inclusive, cross-industry standards for ethical AI, embedding principles that apply universally, from conflict zones to workplace environments. Second, empower an independent watchdog, born from an ever-growing grassroots movement, to oversee accountability and foster trust. Third, create a credible, independent certification label that commits companies to upholding our charter's principles. Major corporations endorse the Alliance, representing a global movement dedicated to harnessing AI as a force for good.
The Museum of Ideas:
The Museum of Ideas offers products, services and tools that support the art of thinking and the activation of creative lives aiming to showcase thought-provoking concepts, creative innovations, and sound ideas that help us shape our human progress. Our vision is to create a place where (human) thinkers and creators–of all types–can explore emerging thought and find the projects, products and services that complement that. To do this, we display art, artifacts, ideas, and offer tools and experiences that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and new ways of thinking. We see a world where ideas are embraced as art forms, where people think freely, ask questions with confidence, and seek together to shape our better future through collaborative imagination and curious exploration. The vision derives from our responsibility as a species to capture what is best about us and to live our best human lives.
Why a collaboration?
Both growing organizations believe in the exponential power of (human) imagination and in the enduring potential of collaboration–that is—working together–to shape our better tomorrow.
Why this contest?
We believe that together and with the power of our collective imagination we have the potential to craft the future we want. But first we need to visualize it. This is where you come in. 🙂

Shall We Reimagine? Reimagining AI: A Dignified Future (for Humans)
Artificial Intelligence, that is “AI,” refers to computer systems that perform complex tasks normally done by humans. Things like human-reasoning, decision-making, creating, etc. It shows up in things like chatbots and in recommendation engines.
AI systems are trained on vast amounts of data to learn patterns and relationships and then to make predictions. This new intelligence is being created from (information on) human lives to improve our human lives.
But we know it's not that simple. We know we need to continue to engage in conversations with each other and to challenge each other as we’re creating systems like this to ensure that they are accounting for the complexity in our human lives.
Dignity means the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect.
We believe everyone is worthy of honor and respect.
With this in mind, we’d like to engage the artists to help us visualize how AI could be built to help all of us flourish. We’d like to imagine AI that enhances our dignity.
Open Call for Creators: Your Perspective
This is an open call for visual artists, writers, and creators to imagine what automated intelligence could look like, if it were truly built to help all of us to live in a flourishing society. If it were built to augment all of our lives —if it were truly built for everyone. This means a system created to include (all of) our perspectives.
As we thrive in the cross-sections, in the complexity and in the collective, we invite you to help us create a collaborative reimagining. Let’s dare to reimagine, dare to create a subversive (or imaginative, depending on how you look at it) alternate reality where technology, like AI, is created to speak for us and our community.
An AI that is created to uplift, celebrate and serve the dignity of humanity.
We know what it is starting to look like: chatbots, search engines, generative illustrations, etc.
But if we’re dreaming, what could it look like?
The Invitation: Choose a prompt that speaks to you and visualize it for us, in an image, in a video short, or in writing.
What are we building AI for?
What would AI address/dismantle to enhance our lives?
If we’re dreaming, what could AI look like? How could it be built to enhance our lives?
What does AI implemented with dignity look like?
(What do you fear in the implementation of AI?) What could help you to alleviate this fear?
Who/what aspects of society should AI serve?
Who would AI serve in our ideal utopian future? (If there could be such a thing (but why not imagine it)?
